Principal's Update and Coleman Connect - Sunday, September 1, 2024

Dear Coleman Families,

Happy Labor Day Weekend!  I hope you’re enjoying the three-day weekend.  As a reminder, we have no school or Tiger Club on Monday in recognition of Labor Day.

I'm pleased to share that our Back-to-School Night was a great success! It was wonderful to see so many of you engaging with our teachers and learning more about the exciting year ahead. Back-to-School Night is a valuable opportunity for families to gain insights into their child’s grade level, discuss volunteering opportunities, and understand what to expect throughout the year. Many of our grade levels presented together this year, as they are closely aligned in curriculum and expectations, ensuring a cohesive learning experience for our students.  If you couldn’t make the event or missed my presentation, please feel free to review the English and Spanish Principal’s presentation 24-25 Coleman Back-to-School Night.

Looking ahead, I want to inform you that this Thursday, we will conduct our first fire drill of the school year. As part of our commitment to student safety, the state requires us to hold various emergency drills throughout the year. These include monthly fire drills, a disaster drill, Shelter-in-Place, and lockdown drills. These drills are essential in helping our students and staff practice and prepare for any potential emergencies.

Additionally, Friday is our student picture day! You should have received a notification from Mugsy Clicks regarding the details. If you haven’t received this information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Ms. Claudia in the front office, and she will be happy to assist you.
