Principal's Update
Dear Coleman Families,

Family Conferences were a huge success. It was great to connect with many families and learn more about your kiddos during meetings.

Attendance

Positive attendance is proven to be one of the key indicators of academic and social success for students. When students are out of school or late to school, they miss important instruction. Our goal this year is to improve our positive attendance. Last year, we held lunch celebrations for the grade level with the highest attendance. We will kick off the attendance celebration in November. If you have any questions about your student's attendance, please contact Ms. Claudia, Ms. Linnea, or Ms. Martha.

Book Fair

The Book Fair was a huge success. There was quite a bit of planning that went into the book fair. A huge thank you to Anne Levenson, Nicole Breznak, Karina Willis, and all of the families who organized and volunteered to make the Book Fair possible. It brought me so much joy watching all of our students show their friends their new books. Happy reading!

Lost and Found

Our lost and found has grown into a department store! Please come and look through the clothing at the front of the school to pick up any lost items. By the end of the week, we are going to donate the lost and found clothes to the Goodwill.

Trunk or Treat Was a BOO-tiful Blast! 🎃
Thank you to everyone who helped make our first year’s Trunk or Treat such a scream! 👻 From the decorated trunks to the face painting, beading, games, and yummy treats, students had many opportunities to have fun. It was great to see so many families come together to celebrate. We couldn’t have done it without all of you! 🕸️🎉

Student Release During the Day
To ensure the safety of all students, we require the following procedures for the release of students:
  • Parent or designee must report to the school office.
  • Students will be called to meet parents in the office
  • Parents or designee will be asked to sign the student sign-out sheet.
  • Students will only be released to the person(s) named on the emergency card unless we receive prior notification from the parents.
  • Please try to pick up students before or after recess and lunch; it’s very hard to find students on the playground.
